The implants themselves are tiny titanium posts that are surgically placed into the jawbone where teeth are missing. These metal anchors act as tooth root substitutes. The bone bonds with the titanium, creating a strong foundation for artificial teeth. Small posts that protrude through the gums are then attached to the dental implant. These posts provide stable anchors for artificial replacement teeth.
Dr. Miner is a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon practicing in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. His advanced surgical training encompasses dental implant placement, bone grafting, dental extractions, oral pathology, facial trauma surgery, and reconstructive facial surgery. In addition, Dr. Miner has undergone extensive training in intravenous sedation and general anesthesia. His goal is to provide each patient with the best surgical treatment in a relaxed and comfortable environment.
Dr. Weideman was born on the West Coast in Long Beach, California. He grew up in Ohio and Florida before attending Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. During his four years at Cornell he played men’s soccer and was a member of the 1995 Ivy League championship team before graduating with Honors in 1997. After taking a year off to work and enjoy the ski slopes of Colorado, he returned to the East Coast to attend the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.
