Meet The Staff
The amazing surgical team at Oral Surgery of the Rockies are experienced, certified oral and maxillofacial surgical assistants, who assist in administration of IV sedation and surgery. All staff are informed administrative personnel, well-versed in health and insurance policies, and are CPR certified.
Victoria has been in the dental field since 2008, starting in general dentistry. She joined Dr. Miner in June 2014 as a surgical assistant and has excelled in her role since then. Victoria is a Colorado native who currently lives in Lone Tree with her son, Theo. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, and spending time with her friends and family.
Vanessa is a Colorado native. She was born and raised in the small town of Lamar and relocated to Aurora in 2010. She parted from her career as a successful business owner/hairstylist to pursue a new career in dental assisting. She finished dental assisting school at the top of her class in 2012. Vanessa began her career as an Endodontic assistant. In the winter of 2013 she began working for Dr. Weideman as his lead surgical assistant. She is honored to work alongside such a great and talented surgeon. Vanessa is devoted to making every patient feel at ease with her professionalism and friendly smile!
Outside of work Vanessa is a mother, wife and caretaker to her father. She is a huge fan of the Denver Broncos and enjoys attending football games, going to concerts, spending time with friends and family, watching 80’s movies and playing with her two dogs, Miley and Lily. In the summer, you can find her and her family on the lake spending time on their boat.
Melissa is a country girl who grew up in Colorado but has spent the last 10 years in Wyoming. She graduated from the University of Wyoming with a Bachelors of Science and began her Oral Surgery Assisting career approximately 9 years ago. Melissa has been with Oral Surgery of the Rockies over a year and brings laughter and professionalism to the office and our patients. In her free time Melissa enjoys riding horses, taking her dog on walks and spending quality time with family and friends.
Anna, a recent college graduate, joins our team from the East Coast. She graduated from Clarkson University with a double major in Biology and Psychology, a minor in Medical History and a consideration in Health Sciences. Anna decided to make the move across country to begin her career in the dental field. Born and raised in Vermont, Anna enjoys any outdoor activity, especially running marathons, competing in triathlons and skiing the back country of the beautiful Rocky Mountains.
Jennifer has worked in the dental field for 11 years, mostly in Oral Surgery. She really loves helping people and caring for them. She joined Oral Surgery of the Rockies in June 2015. She is a native of Colorado. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, including her cat, Oliver. She also loves watching home sports teams, especially the Denver Broncos!
Donna has been in the Oral Surgery field for 9 years and began her career as a Surgical Technologist. Donna has recently relocated to Colorado from Tennessee and is excited to be part of the Oral Surgery of the Rockies team! Donna enjoys mountain biking, yoga, concerts, and taking her mini daschund Oscar on hikes. Donna also enjoys volunteering for medical missions with the Healing Hands foundation.
Amanda comes to us from the great state of Oklahoma, where she was an Oral and Maxillofacial surgical assistant for 3 years. Amanda relocated to Colorado and Oral Surgery of the Rockies over a year ago with her boyfriend to see the great adventures Colorado has to offer. Amanda enjoys playing soccer, working out, hiking and is excited to try white water rafting. While Amanda doesn’t have any children she enjoys spoiling her 3 American Bullies.
Alisun began working in oral surgery in 2010, she started out as a surgical assistant and has since transitioned to the front office. She has completed advanced training achieving an associate degree in Surgical Technology. Born with congenital hip dysplasia, Alisun has undergone multiple surgical procedures throughout her life, leading her into the medical field. She can personally relate to all patient’s trepidation and fears with empathy and understanding. Alisun is a native Coloradan who lives in Aurora with her Chocolate lab Ellie and is planning her wedding to her fiance’ Paul. Outside of work Alisun is an avid Colorado Mammoth fan and enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family.
Zola has been in the dental field since 1972 and has experience in all phases of dentistry. Beginning as a dental assistant and progressing through a series of increasingly responsible positions, including office manager for over 25 years. She has attended over 500 hours of continuing education. Her strongest asset is her long time loyalty to the successful practices she has enjoyed working with. She prides herself on professionalism and exceptional patient care. She has had the pleasure of working with Dr. Miner since October 2013.
When not at work, Zola enjoys crafts, camping, long term friendships and traveling with family and friends. Her husband of 33 years Dennis, is semi-retired. She has a son who works in the dental field, two daughters and three grandchildren who love to do crafts with her.
Chelsea is new to the dental field, joining the Oral Surgery of the Rockies team in December 2016. She is a Colorado native who is the third of seven siblings and understands how crazy life can be, and enjoys every second of the ride. Chelsea loves spending time in the mountains with her fiance’, family and friends and is looking forward to her upcoming wedding in Sept. 2017. Chelsea is looking forward to her future in the dental field!
Jean is thrilled to have joined the staff at Oral Surgery of the Rockies this last fall. She brings over 30 years of experience in the dental profession to her current position as an Insurance Administrator.
Born and raised in the Denver area, Jean and her husband moved to Bailey in 1978. She raised her family in the splendor of the Rocky Mountains embracing her rural lifestyle. Jean found herself back in city life in 2012 and has continued to embrace her “urban” lifestyle. She enjoys workshops, Yoga, hiking and trying out new foods. Life is good!
